Use of AI and AI-Assisted Technologies in Scientific Writing

assisted technologies are used in this context, authors have to insert a statement at the end of their manuscript, entitled ‘Declaration of Generative AI and AI-assisted Technologies in the Writing Process’. Authors will have to specify the tool that was used and the reason for using the tool.

When authors use AI and AI-assisted technologies in writing, these tools should only enhance readability and language, not replace tasks such as generating scientific insights, analyzing and interpreting data, or drawing conclusions. These technologies should be applied with human oversight and control, and authors must carefully review and edit the output, as AI can produce authoritative-sounding content that may be incorrect, incomplete, or biased.

Authors should not list AI and AI-assisted technologies as an author or co-author, nor cite AI as an author. Authors are ultimately responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of their work and must disclose the use of AI and AI-assisted technologies in a statement at the end of the article. If such technologies are used, authors must include a statement titled ‘Declaration of Generative AI and AI-assisted Technologies in the Writing Process’ at the end of their manuscript, specifying the tool used and the reason for its use.

Plagiarism Policy

Any allegations of plagiarism or self-plagiarism/text recycling reported to the Journal will be investigated by the Journal’s Editor in accordance with COPE guidelines. If the allegations seem valid, the corresponding author will be asked to explain the overlapping material. The Editorial Board and the author’s institution may be involved in further evaluating the manuscript and the allegations.

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal undergo a plagiarism check using software, and the similarity index must not exceed 25%. If it does, manuscripts may be returned to the authors with a request to address the issues through proper citation, use of quotation marks for direct quotes, or rewriting. If the similarity is too extensive for revision, the manuscript may be rejected.
